We know that when you refer a child, you are entrusting us with more than a service — you are extending the circle of care that surrounds that child. Our goal is to make that process seamless, respectful, and effective. We provide clear communication, timely documentation, and a collaborative approach that values your professional insights as well as each family’s unique perspective.

By partnering with you, we aim to ensure that every child not only receives high-quality, evidence-informed therapy, but also experiences a consistent, supportive network across home, school, medical, and community settings.

Populations & Needs We Support

We serve children with a wide variety of developmental, sensory, and functional needs. Our practice is neurodivergent-affirming, strength-based, and tailored to each child’s unique profile. Common areas of focus include:

  • Sensory processing differences — supporting children who are easily overwhelmed, sensory-seeking, or have difficulty with regulation in daily environments.

  • Autism and ADHD — helping children build tools for focus, flexibility, communication, and self-advocacy.

  • Motor development — addressing fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting, self-care), gross motor coordination, and motor planning challenges.

  • Emotional regulation and resilience — fostering strategies for coping, calming, and building confidence in daily routines.

  • Daily living skills — supporting independence in dressing, feeding, hygiene, and other self-care tasks.

  • School participation — helping children succeed with classroom routines, peer interaction, and learning activities.

Services Offered

At Funhouse Therapy, we provide a range of occupational therapy services designed to meet the needs of children and families in both clinical and community settings. Our services include:

  • Comprehensive Evaluations
    In-depth assessments that identify strengths, challenges, and functional goals. Reports are written in clear, accessible language and can be shared with families, schools, and providers to guide coordinated care.

  • Individual Therapy Sessions
    Play-based, child-centered therapy tailored to each child’s developmental profile and family priorities. Sessions focus on building practical skills while supporting sensory integration, regulation, and confidence.

  • Caregiver Coaching
    Practical strategies and education to help caregivers implement therapy goals at home and in daily routines. Coaching is collaborative, respectful, and rooted in each family’s values.

  • School & Community Consultation
    Collaboration with educators and community professionals to support participation in learning and social environments. Includes observation, strategy development, and recommendations for accommodations.

  • Group Programs (as available)
    Small-group sessions designed to build social-emotional skills, peer connection, and regulation in a supportive environment.

Referral Process

We strive to make referrals simple and efficient for busy professionals. To refer a child to Funhouse Therapy:

  1. Complete your referral form (your agency’s form or letterhead is acceptable).

  2. Fax the referral to:

  3. Include supporting documents as available, such as:

    • Recent evaluations

    • IEP/504 plans

    • Case notes or medical reports relevant to therapy needs

  4. Once received, our intake team will review the referral and contact the family directly within 2–3 business days to schedule an initial appointment.

If additional information is needed, our team will follow up promptly with the referring professional.
